What is the Student/Staff Information System?
SIS is a secure, web accessible interactive computer system that allows you access to your:
- Grade reports
- Unofficial transcripts
- Schedule of classes
- Financial aid status
- Address
- Register for classes online
What is my Student ID number?
Your individual Student ID number appears in the center section of your schedule/bill which you receive when you register for classes. All Student ID numbers begin with an @ symbol followed by 8 numeric digits.
What is a PIN number?
A PIN number is a Personal Identification Number that must be used in conjunction with your Student ID number. You will need both of these numbers to access your personal data which is located in the Secured Access area. The first time you log in to SIS, your PIN Number is your six digit birthdate.
What is the difference between Public Access and Secured Access?
- The Public Access area contains general information regarding Financial Aid and does not require a Student ID number or PIN to access.
- The Secured Access area requires both your Student ID number and your PIN. The secured area contains your schedule, grades, transcript information, financial aid status, address, etc.
What if I forgot my PIN or my Student ID number?
During the school year, you may call our Help Desk at:

How do I get a copy of my schedule?
Enter the Secured Access area, go to the Student & Financial Aid Menu, then Registration Menu. From this menu choose either Student Detail Schedule or Student Schedule by Day & Time. Select the appropriate term from the drop down menu and submit your request.
How do I get a copy of my unofficial transcripts?
Enter the Secured Access area, go to the Student & Financial Aid Menu, then Student Records Information Menu, then choose Academic Transcript.
How do I get a copy of my grade reports?
Enter the Secured Access area, go to the Student & Financial Aid Menu, then Student Records Information Menu Choose Display Grades.
What if I want to check on my Financial Aid Status?
Enter the Secured Access area, go to the Student & Financial Aid Menu. Choose Financial Aid Information Menu. You will then be able to:
- Check your overall status of Financial Aid
- Check your cost of attendance
- Display your Financial Award information
- Send a Web Message to the CVTC Financial Aid Office
Helpful Hints:
You will only be allowed 5 attempts to log-in. If you are unsuccessful after 5 attempts, you will be locked out of the system. In order to gain access, you will need to contact the Help Desk. During the school year, you may call our Help Desk at:

To navigate the system, use the [Return to Menu] button located at the bottom of the screen, rather than the browser's [Back] button.
