Student Identification Numbers
Where to find your Student ID number: Your Student ID number appears in the center section of your schedule/bill, which you will receive when you complete your registration. Registration consists of choosing the courses you want to take and paying the tuition. Your Student ID# will begin with an @ symbol followed by 8 numeric digits.
Please make a note of your Student ID number as we will ask you for this number when we access your records. You will also need this number to access the secured area of SIS (Student/Staff Information System) database. SIS will allow you to view and print your schedule, unofficial transcript, grade reports, and financial aid status.
The Student ID number was created to protect the privacy of your social security number and to comply with the new state legislation which went into effect January 1, 2000.
Chippewa Valley Technical College will continue to collect your social security number. This number will be used for Federal reporting purposes to comply with the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997. This Act was created for the purpose of financial aid, Hope Scholarships and the Lifetime Learning Credits. We will keep your social security number confidential.
