Student Profile

• Student enrollment exceeds 7,000 credit students per year.
• Half of CVTC students are 24 years of age or under. Students range in age from 16 to 68!
• The student population is 43% male and 57% female.
• Eighty percent of students surveyed in 1998 stated that CVTC was their first choice as a college.
• About two thirds of CVTC students work part-time or not at all.
• Many students who work full-time take classes on a part-time basis. Other reasons for enrolling as a part-time student include family responsibilities and/or the desire to go at a slower pace.
• Approximately 65% of full-time, first-time degree-seeking students receive financial aid.
