Certificates
- General Studies - these may include online classes in College Math, English, & Social Studies. Many trasferrable to the UW System
- Production MIG Welding This certificate is intended to provide the basic entry level skills and knowledge to work in a production welding setting. Students will learn fundamental math applications, blueprint reading for the welder-fabricator, and hands-on skill training with production MIG weld machines.
- Records and Information Management Specialist Who should receive this certificate? Persons who are employed or interested in positions such as records and information managers or supervisors; records technicians/coordinators/analysts; records and document imaging analysts; legal records coordinators; archivists; office or administrative services managers and administrative support personnel; and others who need to provide the right information to the right people at the right time at the best possible cost. If you are responsible for the creation, use, distribution, maintenance, and disposition of information in your organization, whether in paper, image, or digital form, this five-course certificate may be of interest to you. You may study and earn this 15-credit certificate completely via the Internet.
- Retail Merchandising Certificate This certificate will explore the retail industry and prepare participants for retail management and retail merchandising opportunities.
- Web Design Specialist This certificate is designed for administrative and other business professionals who want a broad-based understanding of the basic features of eBusiness, Web site design, and Web site maintenance. This certificate may lead to enhanced career advancement potential and/or employability. Courses are offered On-line or at the Eau Claire Business Education Center; many of these classes are offered in the late afternoon or evening. Please note that this certificate requires a minimum of two semesters to complete.
Special Courses available 2008-2009 year
- Arc& OxyAcetylene Welding I Evening Class: Students will learn fundamentals of welding; welding safety, welding terms, equipment, five basics of good welds, weld types, weld positions, weld quality, electrode and material identifcation. Students will acquire basic fundamental skills in oxy-acetylene (OAW) welding, cutting and arc (SMAW, stick) welding. Safety glasses are required.
- Wire Feed & Tig Welding I Evening Class: Students will learn fundamentals of welding: welding safety, welding terms, equipment, five basics to good welds, weld types, weld positions, weld quality, electrode and material identification. Students will acquire basic fundamental skills in wire feed welding (GMAW, MIG) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW, TIG, heli-arc). Safety glasses are required..
- Nursing Assistant at Owen-Withee Care - Required textbook is included in the cost of the course. This course is a combination of 40 hours of CD Rom or DVD education, classroom and clinical practice conducted in long-term care facilities. It covers basic body function and structure, nutrition, nursing care procedures, and ethical and legal considerations. This course is recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services as a nursing assistant/home health aide training program. Usually runs in eight-week segments. This course is not eligible for financial aid.

The Neillsville Campus Manager is Tim Shepardson. In addition to managing the campus, Tim's duties also include organizing and coordinating customized training for businesses and industries in Clark, Chippewa, and Taylor Counties.
