Veteran's Benefits
VETERANS - NATIONAL GUARD/RESERVISTS - DEPENDENTS/SPOUSE OF VETERANS:
Hi, my name is Deb Ludwikowski and I am the Veterans Certifying Official for Chippewa Valley Technical College.
Most programs and certificates at CVTC are approved for Veterans' educational benefits. Twelve credits would be considered full time for the semester in either Associate Degree, Diploma program or Short Term certificates. Further regulations regarding benefits can be obtained by logging on to the Montgomery G.I. Bill website at www.gibill.va.gov, or by calling the toll free number at 1-888-442-4551.
You must apply to the college and the VA for your benefits. Benefits can be applied for online or by mailing the application. The online application is found at the above website by clicking on Education Benefits, then Education Forms, then scrolling to the 22-1990 for Nat'l Guard/Reserves or prior Military. For Dependents and Spouses of 100% disabled or deceased Veterans the form number would be 22-5490.
Here are three ways you can contact me: phone at 715-833-6272, toll free 1-800-547-2882, ext. 6272; email: dludwikowski@cvtc.edu or at the Business Education Center, Eau Claire, Room 113A.
ATTENTION CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS:
If you are receiving some type of Federal VA benefits, please remember that you must notify me of any changes to your schedule that would impact your monthly benefit amount. Each semester you register for classes, you must notify me of your wish to continue receiving those VA benefits. If you do not notify me after you register, it could delay the arrival of your first monthly payment.
If you wish information regarding eligibility for State Benefits, you must contact the County Veterans Servcie Office at the County Courthouse in the County for which you reside.
I do keep a supply of the WI National Guard Tuition Grant applications outside my office for those in the National Guard that are eligible for this State benefit.
