Parking and Traffic Code
- Students and staff shall park in designated lots.
- All vehicles parked in student and staff lots must display a registration permit according to the following directions:
- Permits are of the hanging type, except for motorcycles. The permit must be clearly displayed while in college parking lots. The permit must be hung on the rear view mirror with the colored, printed side facing the front of the vehicle.
- Motorcycles should follow the directions given at the time the permit is purchased.
- You are responsible for all violations by a vehicle displaying a permit issued to you.
- If for any reason you drive an unregistered vehicle, you can obtain a special one-day permit to park south of Clairemont Avenue (Eau Claire-Clairemont Campus). You can obtain a permit from the Parking/Facilities Office (M134) or in the Health Education Center (P101). Special permits are available at all campus locations. Check with the campus office.
- No vehicle shall in any way impede the normal flow of traffic on any college street, roadway, or parking area. Park only in marked stalls. Do not park in the middle of two stalls, even if someone else has parked irregularly.
- Vehicles must yield to pedestrians walking on campuses.
- No vehicles, except those being repaired, shall be parked overnight on campuses. If an emergency situation arises, notify the Parking Enforcement Office.
- No vehicle shall exceed the fifteen (15) mph speed limit on campuses or be operated in a hazardous manner.
- There will be disciplinary action taken against anyone using abusive language or being disrespectful to the Parking Enforcement staff.
- The right is reserved to close a campus parking area for college purposes. In such instances, advance notice will be given when possible.
- Parking and traffic regulations are effective twenty-four (24) hours a day.
- Vehicles must be parked by driving up to the curb. Backing in or pulling through to a stall is forbidden as it will damage lights and plantings and make walking on the sidewalk hazardous.
- Any falsification of information or any misrepresentation of any kind made with regard to parking permits is subject to revocation of the parking permit and/or other disciplinary action.
