Guidelines For Tours

To maximize students' experience, we ask that:

• Teachers and/or counselors assist students in choosing a "tour" that matches their interests.
• Utilized the Preparation Guide.
• Schools provide one (1) chaperon per tour or per ten (10) students, whichever is greater.

 Please note:

• Career Tours are for High School students.
• Maximum number of participants per tour (15) will be strictly adhered to.
• Tours require walking. Some groups walk out-of-doors. Students should plan accordingly.
• Please notify us if any of your students need special accommodations.

 Whether making reservations via phone, e-mail or FAX, please provide the following information:

• School name, address, e-mail, FAX number, and phone number
• Name of contact person(s) accompanying students the day of tour
• Student name(s) and specific tour in which they are interested
• Lunch in the CVTC cafeteria is provided as part of the college experience. Let us know if you/your group plan to stay for lunch.

 Transportation:*

• All participants should unload at the circular drive entrance at the Eau Claire Business Education Center (BEC), 620 W. Clairemont Avenue between 9:45 and 10:55 a.m.
• Proceed to Room BEC 103 for "Welcome", scheduled to begin promptly, at 10:00 a.m.
• CVTC will transport participants in Tours 1, 2, and 3 to their sites and back to BEC for "Closing." The bus will depart at 10:20 a.m. for those students on Tours 1, 2, and 3.

 * Bus/school van drivers may park vehicles in front of CVTC on Frontage Road. Private vehicle owners will park in RCU Lot off circle drive and stop in BEC 100 to sign-in. Drivers should plan to reload participants in the circular drive between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m., depending on lunch plans.
