Why did you choose E-learning at CVTC?
Because it takes me about an hour to drive to school and it is flexible with my schedule.

What are some things you like about E-Learning classes?
The teachers lay out the course of study very well and I can work on the assignments in between my work and family life. The assignment due dates are clearly stated and you can email or contact the teacher if you have any questions.

Anything you don't like about E-Learning classes?
No

Are you able to interact with other students attending E-Learning classes?
You can through discussion board. In fact, you can find out more about a student online then you do a lot of times in the classroom. Most discussion boards ask you to write up a profile and tell a little about yourself. In the classroom, you can attend a 16 week class together and not know anything about each other.

Do you have a favorite class?
I like most all of my classes.

Any common misconceptions about online classes that you would like to set straight?
When a student takes an online class they need to take it seriously. A lot of students treat an online class as easy, when they are not. Another misconception is that they feel they need that face to face contact to make it through the class. The teacher is always available if you have questions, they want you to succeed.

Any advice you would like to give to future online students?
My best advice would be that what ever the teacher says is the recommended study time for the class, add 2-4 hours to that. Students falsely believe if a teacher says 10 hours of study that they can cut that in half. If you do that, you will fail. A lot yourself plenty of time and you will do well.
