Announcements     

When you enter a Blackboard course you should see the Announcements Page (occasionally an instructor will have the entry point on another page). You can get back to the Announcements page at any time by clicking the Announcements button. There are three types of announcements:

1. Permanent - they stay on the main announcement page until an instructor deletes them. Newest ones appear on top.
2. Non-permanent - they only stay on the main announcement page for seven days or until an instructor deletes them - whichever comes first. Non-permanent announcements always appear below permanent ones, regardless of date. To see non-permanent announcements that are older than 7 days, click the "View Last 30 Days" or "View All" tab.
3. System - these automatically go to the top of the announcements page, and usually only show for a couple of days. They typically give information about Blackboard down times.
