Multimedia Guide

Getting Started

  1. If the computer is off, turn it on
  2. Logon to the computer with your CVTC username and password
  3. Turn on the video projector using the projector’s remote control (you will need to point the remote at the projector on the ceiling) and pressing the power button
  4. Turn on the Copy Camera
  5. Turn on the speakers
  6. Multimedia IconIf the TV Window does not appear, double click the Multimedia Center icon on the desktop
  7. If an icon is not on the desktop, look for it in the Programs list under ATI Multimedia Center, and click TV

Workstation Information

Almost all of the College’s labs and classrooms have a workstation that allows a variety of technology for instructional presentations. These workstations fall into two categories: 

Presentation Workstations
Computer, projector, screen
CVTC standard software
Speakers
CD/DVD Player

Multimedia Workstations
All of the above
Copy Camera
VCR

Remote Controls

Most workstations will have three remote controls:

  • One for the video projector
  • One for controlling the VCR/DVD player
  • One for the ATI that can be used to advance PowerPoint slides and control the computer

Terms

TV Window. All your media will play in the tv window. If you do not see this window, you will need to restart the MultiMedia software.

Multimedia IconMultiMedia Center Icon. If the Multimedia Center is not running you will need to restart the software in order to play media. Do so by double clicking on the MultiMedia Center icon on your desktop. If the icon is not on the desktop, go to the Programs list, select ATI Multimedia Center, and choose TV.


Control Panel. The control panel allows you to select your equipment type, such as the copy camera or DVD player. You may also select your equipment type using the keyboard.
