Automotive Maintenance Technician Program

More than 200 million automobiles and trucks crowd American highways. Each year the new models become more sophisticated, emphasizing the need for trained technicians to service and repair these vehicles. This one-year program provides entry-level skills training for a career in the automotive service industry. Training will be offered in the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) areas identified as automotive industry standards.


Students entering the Automotive Maintenance Technician program should:

  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • Have good reading and math skills.
  • Be able to get along with other people.
  • Think logically.
  • Have attention to detail.
