Right now, manufacturing is the jump start to our economy. In our area, jobs are available in this sector, but employers are unable to find the skilled employees they are looking for. CVTC is ready to meet those needs by offering three new programs in Engineering Technology.
Industrial Engineering Technician
This program is designed to support the regional food processing industry. It offers instruction for non-clinical laboratory workers with hands-on training performing a variety of laboratory and testing procedures using an array of equipment. The program also provides instruction on the design, operation, and support of production facilities with a focus on food safety and quality assurance.
Manufacturing Engineering Technologist
This program provides training for those seeking a career in engineering and engineering technology in support of metal fabrication, plastics processing, and consumer products manufacturing and assembly. You will gain skills in basic research, product development and testing, production support, equipment maintenance, quality assurance, and work activity in project teams in support of product safety.
Nano Engineering Technology
This program will prepare you to work with micro and nano systems in electronics, food processing, bio-technology, nanoscience, medical device, pharmaceutical production, and other industrial laboratory applications. You'll get training in micro or nano systems engineering, manufacturing and scientific laboratory applications.
