The Right Choice
CVTC and the Eau Claire Area School District have partnered to offer incoming high school juniors interested in pursuing a career in the medical field the opportunity to graduate as a Medical Assistant. Students who successfullycomplete this academy have the opportunity to earn their Patient Services Specialist Technical Diploma after their junior year and complete their Medical Assistant Technical Diploma by the end of their senior year.
When: September, 2020 - June, 2022.
Location: Real Time Sychronous/Online
Credential Earned: Upon successful completion of this CAAHEP accredited medical assistant program, the graduate can take the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam. Once the graduate has passed the exam, he or she can use the CMA (AAMA) credential.
When: September 2020 – June 2021: Location: Real Time Sychronous/Online Time: 1-3 pm
Year 1: Junior Year Credential Earned: Patient Services Technical Diploma
When: September 2021 – June 2022: Location: CVTC Time: 8-11 am
Year 2: Senior Year Credential Earned: Medical Assistant Technical Diploma
