CVTC experienced a network outage which is currently affecting phones and some email, and may affect website functionality. Due to this disruption, the CVTC spring semester has been delayed until Wednesday, January 27.
The Right Choice
CVTC and local high schools have partnered to offer students who are at least 17 years old and interested in pursuing a career in healthcare an opportunity to earn high school and college credit. Dual credit academies give high school students a chance to navigate their interests and career options to develop the most successful individualized career path. Credits earned through this academy may be applied to CVTC programs and transfer to other colleges. By successfully completing this course, students will earn an Emergency Medical Technician Technical Diploma.

Prerequisite: Successfully complete EMT 1 with an 80% or higher and 17 years old
*Two additional Saturdays are required
Academy Location: Durand Fire Department
531-313 Emergency Medical Technician 2Advances on the foundation concepts of Part 1 to include pharmacology, pathophysiology, operating an ambulance, and medication administration. Students will also complete a clinical rotation in a hospital Emergency Department. Upon successful completion, candidates will be eligible to participate in the National Registry of EMTs Emergency Medical Technician exams for Wisconsin EMT licensure.
