Dual Credit High School Academy

​CVTC, with local school districts, and the Pablo Center at the Confluence have partnered to offer students a unique experience to earn 2 advanced standing credits in Measurement for Engineering, and six industry certifications in a hands-on summer camp!

Dates: Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 19, 2019; Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Location: Pablo Center at the Confluence

Course Description

​Behind the scenes in the Pablo Center at the Confluence, students learn blueprint reading through a study of the Pablo Center’s innovative architecture through engaging hands on activities. Students will discover how measurement is used in engineering and architecture. Local engineers will share their critical role in this innovative community project.

Students will use this knowledge to create their own prototype!

Students will also earn:

  • Industry credentials in:

    • Tape and Rule Measurement

    • Side Caliper Measurement

    • Gauge Measurement

    • Angle Measurement

    • Micrometer Measurement

    • Dial Gauge Measurement

  • Earn 2 Advanced Standing credits in Measurement for Engineering Course at CVTC

  • Earn .5 High School Credit
