Partnerships & Grants

Through strategic industry partnerships, the Business & Industry team at CVTC works hard to bring you the specialized training that you need to help your business succeed. Led by our top industry trainers, our partnership programs are designed to bring area businesses together to share ideas and learn from each other. One of the ways we partner with businesses is by working together to secure funding for training via grants.

State of Wisconsin Workforce Advancement Training (WAT) Grant

In the spring of each year, CVTC accepts applications for WAT grants. The purpose of these grants is to promote increased investment in the development of incumbent workers, improve Wisconsin business productivity and competitiveness, and augment the state’s economic base by expanding technical college training services to business and industry. Grants will be awarded to upgrade the skills and productivity of employees of established, for-profit businesses operating in Wisconsin, with the broader objective of supporting regional workforce and economic development efforts. The training can include any combination of academic, occupational, and employability topics or courses. Purpose of WAT Grants

Potential training topics include:

  • Employee Development & Leadership Program (View Brochure)‎
  • Automated Manufacturing & Fabrication (AMF)
  • Quality and Production Management
  • Customer Service
  • Others based on industry specific needs

Ready to Apply?

Employers interested in this opportunity should complete and submit the Request for Consideration Online Application. Requests can be completed at any time and CVTC determines which grant cycle your application may be considered in.
