Transcripted Credit offers students the opportunity to earn dual credit by taking CVTC courses offered at their high school and taught by high school instructors. These instructors have met CVTC licensing requirements nad worked with CVTC faculty to match curriculum.

Advanced Standing
Advanced Standing agreements allow students to request credit for certain courses that have an articulation agreement established. High School courses must have an 80% competency match and students must receive a "B" or better in order to receive credit.
I’m grateful for the experience I gained at CVTC’s high school academy. Despite initial nerves about the age differences among my classmates, we quickly formed a cohesive team. Inspired by my family’s medical background, I successfully completed the EMT 1 and EMT 2 academy course! Our instructor brought in industry professionals to provide insights and enhance our practical skills. The weekend schedule of the EMT courses allowed me to balance academic commitments. With the school covering the costs, I’m eagerly pursuing a Nursing degree in college, feeling well-prepared for the educational journey ahead. The EMT 1 and EMT 2 academies have been a crucial stepping stone toward my dream of becoming an ER nurse.
