What's new in the world of OSHA? This session will discuss the latest national and local emphasis programs, other areas of interest, proposed standards, and policy changes. It is also an opportunity to ask questions and learn how compliance officers get to sites and what happens after the inspection is completed. Compliance programs such as VPP (Voluntary Protection Program), Partnerships, and Alliance will be discussed.

This session covers the foundational basics of fall protection, including hazard recognition, selection and inspection of protective equipment, proper harness fitting, and evaluation of anchorage, fall clearance, and swing-fall hazards. It also emphasizes the importance of planning for prompt rescue following a fall.

Opioids, Overdose, Prevention, and Naloxone
Presented By: Sarah Dillivan-Pospisil
Join the Eau Claire City-County Health Department to learn about opioids, fentanyl, and naloxone (Narcan®), a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to properly administer naloxone. We will discuss where naloxone is available in Eau Claire County and how to find local resources in your community. Businesses in Eau Claire County will learn how to begin the process of obtaining naloxone and resources for their site to support overdose prevention efforts.
The Elephant in the Room: Talking Openly About Mental Health at Work

Mental health is a key priority at Source Energy Services. The speakers will discuss the issues that affected their teams and solutions that were implemented to highlight awareness of this topic. Fall Protection Part 2 – Rescue Basics
Presented By: Rich Stangl
This session covers the key principles of planning for and responding to an incident involving a worker who has fallen, is suspended in fall-protection equipment, and requires assistance reaching the ground. Participants will be introduced to rescue planning, roles and responsibilities, communication, rescue methods, equipment considerations, and hazards associated with a suspended worker. Scenario-based discussions and basic exercises will reinforce the importance of prompt rescue while protecting responders from additional fall hazards. This course provides rescue awareness and foundational, user-level concepts. It does not qualify participants to perform technical rope rescue.

This presentation will cover critical topics including commercial driver’s license (CDL) requirements, load securement regulations, driver laws, and the vital role of pre-trip inspections. Designed for drivers, fleet managers, and safety professionals, this session provides actionable insights to help ensure compliance and promote roadway safety.
Fundamentals of Risk Assessment
Presented By: Steven Senor
Risk assessments are one of the cornerstones or pillars of a fundamentally sound environmental, health and safety program. Identifying, classifying and correcting existing and potential hazards is a key component to establishing effective control measures and reducing the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses. Risk assessments are performance-based activities which deliver clear metrics and results. They are a proactive indicator and can be applied to routine and non-routine tasks. Participants will learn the risk assessment process and utilize real-world scenarios and models for assessing risks and developing strategies for their reduction or prevention.
6S Leads to Safety Success
Presented By: Matt Lind
This session will discuss how maximizing operational efficiency helps create a more hazard-free work environment. Participants will discover that waste reduction along with lean initiatives are interconnected with organizational health and safety, proving that a clean, organized, and efficient workspace is inherently a safe one. This session will provide insight, tools, and procedures to help bridge the gap between traditional Lean continuous improvement methods and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
