Our certified instructors will work with you to develop an individualized Personal Education Plan designed to meet your personal, career, and academic goals.

High School Diploma (GED/HSED)

Earn your GED or HSED by working at your own pace. Brush up on your academic skills before taking your GED or HSED tests. We offer free one-on-one instructional support in an open-lab setting and six-week boot classes each semester. Morning, afternoon, and evening classes are available.

College Prep

Develop or refresh your reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, problem solving, and math skills.

College Admission & Transition Support

Going to college as an adult can be scary. Adult students are sometimes nervous about returning to school or worried about feeling out of place on a college campus. We make it easier by working with you to develop a personal success plan and identifying which resources you may need. This plan can include working one-on-one with an instructor to refresh skills in reading, writing, and math, participating in our free Transition Lab, and individualized practice with CVTC technology, note taking skills, and test-taking strategies.

  • Meet with a College Navigator to develop a personal success plan and identify resources that will help your transition to CVTC.
  • Work one-on-one with an instructor to refresh skills in reading, writing, and math.
  • Participate in our Transition Lab and develop the skills needed to be a strong performer in college courses all while meeting other students like yourself.
  • Practice using CVTC technology, build textbook reading and note taking skills, and learn test-taking strategies.
