This program is offered as a partnership with Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). Students complete some courses at CVTC, then transfer to MATC to complete the degree.

Steps for Admission

  1. Submit an application for admission located at cvtc.edu/apply
  2. Complete a Required Information Session (RIS) with the Funeral Services Academic Advisor.

Core Program Requirements for Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC)

1. Receive a letter grade of “C” or better for the following courses: English Composition 1, Oral/Interpersonal Communications, Intro to Psychology, and Intro to Sociology.

2. Receive a letter grade of “B-” or better for the following courses: General A&P, Microbiology, General Chemistry, Accounting 1, and Business Law.  

Core Course Eligibility

Applicants meeting the requirements above must submit a completed Core Course Eligibility Form (CCE Form) to the Admissions Office to be eligible for consideration to continue the program at MATC.

Core Course Eligibley Form (CCE Form): 

  • CCE Application Form page can be found in your Commons account and clicking on the "Forms" drop-down menu, clicking on Forms, and then "Core Course Eligibility Form" under Admission.
  • Click on the "Core Course Eligibility Form" button.
  • Next, choose the middle radio button of "Other admission requirement (e.g. Exam, transcript, licensure, etc.)" and choose the "Next" button.
  • Complete the CCE Application Form for your desired semester start date and choose the "Submit" button at the bottom.

For all other academic course requirements where current and active enrollment is not an option, you will receive an email prior to the end of each term through student email with the CCE Form submission date for that term along with direction on how to submit it. On the form applicants should indicate the semester and year they will be prepared to begin core courses. Applicants are placed on waiting lists by date of eligibility regardless of the semester and year requested. Students completing all requirements will be accepted or placed on a waiting list only when the Core Course Eligibility Form is on file.
