Whether you're new to beekeeping and want hands-on training or are just interested in learning more about the beekeeping industry, our beekeeping courses will get you buzzing.
CVTC hosts a fully-working bee apiary located at the Energy Education Center. The location is a fenced in apiary that is dedicated to beekeeping education and located off a paved road for ease of accessibility.

New to beekeeping and want hands-on training from an experienced beekeeper? This one credit, 32-hour course will cover the basics to help you maintain a healthy and productive hive! Learn about the different types of bees, hives, management techniques, and winterizing at the CVTC Bee Apiary.
All students are required to bring their own or purchase protective equipment. The CVTC bee apiary is located at the Energy Education Center. The location is a fenced in apiary that is dedicated to beekeeping education and located off a paved road for ease of accessibility.
Course Details Postponed until April 2024 Dates: Saturdays, April 1 - October 28, 2023 Open labs April - October are flexible and not mandatory every week. We request everyone have 22 hours of in-hive time during the summer. Our instructor will be available Saturdays from 9 - 11 a.m. Adverse weather conditions may prevent in-hive inspections. This schedule is designed to allow flexibility for students. Delivery Method: Face-to-Face Time: Class times vary based on the week and weather. A schedule will be created upon the start of the course. Cost: $174 (estimated tuition & fees) Age Requirements: Attendees should be at least in 6th grade or older. Each participant will be charged tuition. Class Limit: 24 Students
