BEEKEEPING FOR BEGINNERS

Learn how to become a beekeeper with this continuing education course.

New to beekeeping and want hands-on training from an experienced beekeeper? This one credit, 32-hour course will cover the basics to help you maintain a healthy and productive hive! Learn about the different types of bees, hives, and management techniques. Attendees will also have the opportunity for lab times to work beehives. Harvesting honey and winterizing will also be covered. All students are required to bring their own or purchase protective equipment and have the option of purchasing a hive and bee colony.

Dates: Wednesday evenings & Saturdays
March 10, 2018 - October 2018

Time: Class times vary based on the week and weather. A schedule will be created upon the start of the course.
