Traffic Safety |
CVTC offers educational courses for those involved in an "operating-while-intoxicated" (OWI) offense and for point reduction on your driving record. All courses are approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. It is MANDATORY that you attend all class sessions, arrive on time, and complete an exit interview. If you fail to successfully complete these requirements, you must re-register and re-pay the full registration fee.
Group Dynamics (OWI)
This 21-hour driver education course is designed to assist those who have been involved in an “operating-while-intoxicated” (OWI) offense. Students will learn about short- and long-term effects of alcohol and other drugs, alcohol consumption and impairment, and Wisconsin OWI-related laws and penalties to complete the course.

Multiple Offender Program (MOP)
This specialized, 33-hour course is designed to assist persons who have been involved in two or more OWIs. Students will examine the consequences of their lifestyle and high-risk behaviors. Small-group activities, self-evaluation, and the required participation of a “concerned other” at two sessions will help accomplish the course objectives.

Point Reduction Course
The traffic safety point reduction class is a 12-hour course. Upon successful completion of the course, the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles will allow a reduction of three points from a motorist’s driving record. Students must attend all 12 hours of the point reduction course in order to be eligible for the three-point reduction.
