Leaders in the local culinary industry are excited about the opportunity to hire CVTC Culinary Management graduates.

“There hasn’t been a huge pool of workers in the Chippewa Valley who understand culinary trends,” said Nathan Berg, executive chef at The Lakely in Eau Claire. “The CVTC Culinary Management program will have a huge impact on building that base of knowledge. We’re high-end dining, made-from-scratch cooking. I don’t have the capacity for on-site training. I need people who have a good base to start with.”

It’s not just the high-end restaurants that are interested in CVTC graduates. David Challe, director of Nutrition Services at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire is looking for applicants who already have a basic skill set for the industry.
