Emergency Service Simulation Center Ready for Students
Chippewa Valley Technical College welcomed nearly 30 colleagues, alumni, foundation and board members to the newly constructed Emergency Service Simulation Center Thursday morning.
The Center was built to give students in the College's Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Academy, EMT, and FireMedic programs and those already in the workforce the opportunity to practice scenarios in realistic settings.
Sunem Beaton-Garcia, CVTC president, said this building was made possible with the help of an anonymous donor who graciously gave $500,000 for the project. The 4,000-square-foot building hosts a hotel lobby, motel room, clinic exam room, child's bedroom, an apartment and a bar called Duck Pond Bar as a nod to the anonymous donor.
