The hazards of confined spaces are explored and apprentices learn the procedures and regulations for working safety in confined spaces. This course meets the requirement for OSHA Confined Space Certification.

449-712 OSHA 10 - Apprenticeship 0.5 Program student Provides an apprentice general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards in the work setting. The course also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Through this training, apprentices become more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights.

449-713 MSHA Certified New Miner- Pt46 0.75 Program student Provides the necessary safety training required by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) for a Certified New Miner for Part 46. Covers HazCom, an introduction to work place environment, mine hazards, miner's rig hts, PPE, intro to confined space and fall protection. Those successfully completing this course will have the skills necessary to perform their work in accordance with the MSHA regulations.
