Administrator Credential

6 Courses  //  18 Credits  //  Approx. Tuition: $2,843

Teachers currently in a lead teacher role and aspiring to move into an administrator role will benefit from this credential. This 6-course series will help develop the skills and competencies needed by administrators and directors in Wisconsin child care programs, Head Start, nursery schools, school-age programs, family child care, child welfare service agencies, public and private schools, and other early care and education programs.

During your coursework, you will receive an overview of the roles and responsibilities of administrators in early childhood programs and will learn about operations management, financial management, and best practices to follow in early childhood programs.

Family Child Care Credential

4 Courses  //  12 Credits  //  Approx. Tuition: $1,895

The Family Child Care Credential is valuable for individuals looking to grow professionally and provide trusted and credible care from the caregiver's home. The family child care profession combines the worlds of profession and family and requires unique skills and standards.

During the course, you will learn the fundamentals of family child care, how to create responsive programming, and the important aspects of financial management to build a successful in-home learning business.

Utilizing the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) Quality Standards and the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards, you will learn how to provide high-quality care to children of varying ages in a family-like setting. Successful completion of this credential meets the educational requirement needed to qualify as a licensed family child care provider in Wisconsin.
