Early Childhood Education Program Details

CVTC’s Early Childhood Education degree prepares you for a fun and rewarding career. You will learn to work with children to help them improve their social skills and prepare them for formal education.  You will play a vital role in the development of children.

Creativity, sense of humor, flexibility, and a love of children are the qualities of successful child care professionals.

The Early Childhood Education program is flexible, allowing you to enroll full-time or part-time. If you have prior experience working in child care or early childhood education, you may be granted advanced standing. If you would like to continue your education, many of the credits you earn will transfer to selected universities toward a four-year degree in early childhood or elementary education.

The early childhood classes will cover all aspects of child development and will include a practicum, allowing you to apply your education in an actual child care setting.

This program has an advanced placement entry option. Advanced placement is an opportunity for graduates of a related program to further their education. Learn more about advanced placement for this program.
