Certified Nursing Asst (CNA) - CVTC Eau Claire Campus - M/W & W Clinicals

CVTC and local high schools have partnered to offer incoming high school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare an opportunity to earn high school and college credit. Dual credit academies give high school students a chance to navigate their interests and career options to develop the most successful individualized career path. Credits earned through this academy may be applied to CVTC's technical degree programs and transfer to other universities. By successfully completing this 86 - hour course and passing the CNA Certification Test (written and skills), students will have the credential to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

The nursing assistant training course will prepare students to work as a nurse aide in the state of Wisconsin and to take the competency exam, including both a written knowledge test and a skill test. The nursing assistant course is a prerequisite for many associate degree health programs. Additionally, there are many job opportunities for certified nursing assistants (CNAs).

Credentials Earned: Upon successfully completing this academy, students will earn their Nursing Assistant Technical Diploma.  This technical diploma can be applied towards the Nursing Associate Degree if students choose to continue their education at CVTC and is a pre - requisite and foundation for many other health programs.
