Dedicated to Christopher

I met the love of my life, thanks to my best friend Andrea. His name is Christopher, he is an Optometrist working in Eau Claire, WI. In the year 2020, Andrea visited the office of Christopher with her husband. They met there and had a friendly conversation. Christopher said he wanted to meet a woman, and Andrea said that she could introduce him to a friend.

I lived in Colombia, so Andrea spoke to me about Christopher and his interest in meeting a woman from South America. Andrea asked me to write a message to him and maybe start a friendship. I felt confused and nervous, because I didn't know how to do it. After a long time, I sent a message to Christopher, "Hi, I'm Zoraida, friend of Andrea. She talked to me about you months ago." Christopher answered, "Yes, she talked to me about you, I remember. But I'm sorry, I have a girlfriend now. I'm very happy with her and I don't want to meet anyone."

I answered, "It's ok, no problem, bye."

Two years later in April 2022, Christopher wrote to me a message, "Hi, now I don't have a girlfriend, do you want to talk?" I answered, "Sure, we can talk." Since that day, we started a friendship and weeks later, we were happy and very in love. Christopher is funny, lovely, romantic, generous, and he has a heart of gold.

We took many trips and on the first trip we got engaged. He gave me a very special gift, a promise ring, with which he promised to make me happy everyday. Two years later, I arrived in the USA to be happily together and get married. In May of 2024, we celebrated our wedding in an intimate but very beautiful ceremony. Today, we are together. I am thankful for having this opportunity.
