CVTC earns rare simulation center accreditation
Chippewa Valley Technical College is one of only 268 institutions in the world, including hospitals, colleges, and universities, to receive accreditation of the CVTC Clinical Simulation Center from the Society of Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). Only six institutions in Wisconsin have this accreditation, with CVTC as the only technical college.
The CVTC Clinical Simulation Center has achieved a significant milestone by earning a five-year initial accreditation award from the SSH.
“This recognition highlights the Center’s commitment to excellence in simulation-based education and training,” said Theresa Meinen, CVTC’s simulation education manager. “This five-year accreditation affirms the dedication of our faculty and staff to creating realistic, high-quality learning experiences that prepare students to deliver safe, competent patient care from day one.”
The Society’s accreditation standards are vast and include core, assessment, research, teaching, human simulation, system integration and fellowship program standards.
