Meet Your SHRM Instructor

Tanya Hubanks SHRM Instructor

Tanya Hubanks, JD, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Tanya is a versatile and experienced human resources professional who holds a master’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Graduate School and juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School. Tanya has been member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) since 2004. She received an SPHR certification from Human Resources Certification Institute in 2006; she became SHRM-SCP certified shortly after SHRM initiated the certification. Tanya is also currently Vice President of Membership of Chippewa Valley SHRM.

Most recently, Tanya was an instructor for the Human Resources Program at Chippewa Valley Technical College where she taught and developed curriculum for courses such as Human Resources Law, Employee Benefits, Training and Development, Employee Relations, and Safety, Security, and Risk. Tanya has also practiced employment law with a large law firm in Cincinnati, Ohio, served as in-house employment counsel and Vice President of Employee Relations at publicly-held financial institution headquartered in Cincinnati, and was a business executive and senior human resources leader in both the financial services and in facility service industries near Boston, Massachusetts. In these roles, she has led teams that have earned recognition for their accomplishments in strategic planning, employee engagement, employee benefits, learning and development, risk management, and human resources administration.
