Modern manufacturing is high tech, and highly trained workers are needed to operate the machinery and keep it running efficiently. In programs like Machine Tooling Technics and Welding, students are learning how to operate computerized equipment that increases production efficiency. Mechatronics Specialist and Automation Engineering Technologists are specialists in designing and programming equipment, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining it.
Manufacturing program graduates are some of the most sought-after by area employers, who are offering generous compensation to attract applicants. Students are often recruited to begin work part-time while completing their education, with some companies offering tuition assistance.
