Welding Fabrication Overview

To enroll in the two-year Welding Fabrication program, you must first complete all coursework in the Welding program. This program offers more diverse careers in fabricating, programming, inspection, quality control, and designing. Much more than just welding. As a multi-skilled individual in welding fabrication, you will become proficient in areas that greatly enhance your employment opportunities including:

This program includes plenty of hands-on experience by teaching you the art of welding, welding print reading, layout and fabrication techniques, and metallurgy concepts, all under the close supervision of experienced instructors.

Sample Courses

Layout and Fabrication I/CNC
Emphasis will be placed on safety, start-up, loading, and efficient operation of the CNC plasma table, CNC shear, CNC break press, and other related equipment to fabricate and assemble projects.

Advanced Fabrication I
Advanced metal fabrication developing assembly and sub-assemblies from working prints using various fabrication processes, such as rigging and lifting, distortion control, fabrication tables, and CNC equipment programming will be incorporated.

Advanced Robotic Welding
Variables and problems will be studied and solutions applied to provide a practical, efficient application of the GMAW (gas metal arc welding) process and fixturing to an automated system.
