Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration (HVAC) Technician Overview

This program will prepare you to take the Environmental Protection Agency Certification Exam for safe handling of refrigerants along with the Industry Competency Exam for HVAC/R technicians.

Program Courses

These are a few of the courses you will take in the Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration (HVAC) Technician program.

HVAC/R Service & Applications
Students learn the techniques to install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems, in a well-equipped lab that provides the optimal training experience.

Schematic Wiring–HVAC
Students will learn to read and interpret electrical schematics found on a variety of HVAC/R equipment.

Technical Problems–HVAC
Students will be asked to diagnose and solve a variety of electrical and mechanical problems found on actual HVAC/R equipment.
