Associate of Science - University Transfer Overview
CVTC’s Associate of Science – University Transfer program is the perfect step in your college education. The credits you earn through this program provide an educational foundation to start your career or easily transfer to another institution to complete a bachelor’s degree.
The courses in this program cover general education topics, including languages, humanities, sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. Working with your advisor and with your education and career goals in mind, you will develop a course plan focusing on math, science, and other STEM areas, ideal for your next step.
Use the credits in this program towards an Associate of Science degree in general studies or transfer your credits to a four-year college or university and pursue a bachelor’s degree. No matter your goals, a liberal arts education from CVTC is flexible and affordable!

Looking to pursue a bachelor’s degree? Completing the Associate of Science program from CVTC typically completes the first two years of general education courses at four-year colleges and universities. To ensure you are on the right path to transfer, connect with your advisor at CVTC and the transfer coordinator at your university of choice frequently throughout the program.
To make your transfer journey smoother, CVTC has partnered with UW-Eau Claire, UW-River Falls, and UW-Stout to develop guided pathways in STEM/Engineering, Business, Health, and Education. These pathways are meant to prepare you to transfer in at a junior status to complete your bachelor's degree.

Should you choose to continue your education after you leave CVTC, we have agreements in place with several institutions to ensure an easy transfer.

The Associate of Science program is comprised of 60 credits and tailored to meet your needs. With courses available in English, Speech, Humanities, Social Science, Wellness, Diversity/Ethnic Studies, Math, Science, Foreign Language, and a wide variety of electives, you will work hand in hand with your advisor to develop a course schedule just for you.
