CVTC’s Human Resource’s degree program gives you the tools that you’ll need to take on this very important role in any business.

Learn to recruit and hire qualified employees, conduct employee orientation, implement compensation and wellness programs, and so much more! Exciting hands-on classes in HR law, Employee Relations and Recruitment and Selection will prepare you for the variety of day to day tasks that HR professionals encounter. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with an internship. Employee Relations
Learn customer service techniques, professional etiquette, confidentiality requirements, working with different cultures and generational attitudes, and career paths in the human resource field.

Human Resource Law
Topics include legalities in hiring practices, discrimination and harassment issues, wage and hour matters, family and medical leave, employment-at-will and wrongful discharge, privacy rights, and a basic introduction to state employment laws.

At CVTC, we do a lot of application-based activities. You aren’t just talking about something and taking a test on it. We had exercises like mock interviews and scenarios in which you had to fire people. I feel I’m well-prepared to work in an HR office.
