Adobe Visual Design
Adobe Visual Design is a project-based course that develops career and communication skills in graphic design, illustration, print, and digital media using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Curriculum focuses on key skill areas of project management and collaboration, design, research and communication, and professional digital photography, illustration, and page layout. Each project adds more challenging skills to foundation proficiencies.
Digital Audio and Video
Digital Audio and Video explores video, audio, and photography in digital marketing. Students learn script writing, how to film for social media, editing using Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects. Steaming to popular streaming sites like YouTube and Vimeo, and other outlets are also experimented with. The final project is students creating videos for the program and for local businesses.
Digital Marketing Campaigns
Digital Marketing Campaigns is a capstone-like course for students in the Digital Marketing program. Using knowledge gained from previous coursework, students individually run a 12-week digital media campaign for a fictitious business using a variety of popular social media platforms and digital outlets. Students learn strategies for posting content, days, times, acceptable attachments, citations, and more. The final project is students presenting their campaigns to area industry professionals.
Digital Design Web Building
Digital Design takes Adobe Visual Design one step further to hone design skills. It also focuses on the foundations of web design that teaches digital communication skills in the context of the professional web design and development process. Students use Adobe Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Fireworks. Skills gained in this course prepare students to test for the Adobe Associate Certification.
